we just returned from a night on the town with the ol' inlaws. actually it was a nice time. we saw riverdance at the queen elizabeth theatre dowtown vancouver. my expectation going in was that i would like it, but that maybe i would have rather spent 80 some odd dollars on seeing someone like u2 or coldplay in concert. i have to admit that i actually really liked it. it was fabulous. i didn't expect singing and as many musical solos, and they turned out to be a pleasant surprise. i suppose they needed something to give the dancers a break. frankly, i needed a break from the dancing as watching them made my legs ache. those guys were flying! i think my mother-in-law really liked what she called the flamingo dancer (flamenco-flamingo, prostate-prostrate, what's the difference, really). if you ever get the opportunity, i would definately recommend going.
