ah village life. now that our water is back to working "normally", our internet is down. also i am expecting a call from a perspective employer (nothing big, really), but she only has my cell phone number. and hey! we have no cell coverage in the village. in order to check my messages, i have to get in the car and drive 5 minutes down the road.
as most of you know, henri's job is dependent on the internet, thus he has set up a dial-up connection. who knew there was still such a thing? the problem is we don't really know how much it costs. another problem is that my computer doesn't have a modem, thus it can not connect to the dial-up connection. so i am back to using henri's lap top during the odd moment he is not using it. read: pee breaks.
so really i shouldn't be on here too long. i just wanted to say hi to all those poor saps who tried to MSN me and were promptly ignored. it seems the MSN program on henri's laptop automatically defaults to me. so it was not cara who was ignoring you, but the master, hard at work. we can't fault him for that as it pays the bills.
oh it seems the baby does not like me resting the lap top against her little cocoon. she's nudging something fierce to get me to move it away. i should go wake her father anyway as we are going to have a picnic today!
