Guest Post - Look out world.

Hi everyone!

If you listen closely, I'm sure somewhere in the distance you can hear a fat lady singing. Space and time have slightly shifted, and X no longer equals Y. In the distance, a child is screaming. (Well, sort of a gurgle actually.) The world as we know it is changed forever. Mark your calendars (and send gifts).

Yes, I am pleased to announce the newest member of our clan.

Name: Ayva Lorraine Zonk
Date: October 23, 2006
Time: 4:05am
Weight: 3.785kg (8.35lbs)
Length: 54cm (21.26")

Mommy is doing great. Labour was about 4 hours long, and the birth was mostly natural. In our ghetto hospital, the people allowed to administer drugs (like epidural) don't work on weekends or the middle of the night, so Cara managed the delivery with only a shot on the bum with some kind of juice. Probably prune.

Having passed along most of my giant intellect to my spawn, it's understandable I forgot to bring the little doohickey thingamajigger to transfer pictures from our camera to the computer. Thus, it'll be tomorrow before you get the privilege of seeing Ayva for the first time. I can tell you, however, that she has a full head of black hair that's over 1 inch long. For sure, she gets her hugeness from Cara's side and her good looks (and amazing intelligence -- she can fart already!) from my side.

Please feel free to comment on this post and tell me how impressed you are that I can breed.

Cheers!

Henri The Great.

FINALLY! Congratulations Cara and Henri. Ayva is undoubtedly just as intelligent as she is beautiful. Looking forward to pictures.

Well congrats to you all. Henri, your breeding skills are amazing....I'm sure you're fighting away offers from all over the world to spread your genes....

Cara, glad to hear your labour was only 4 hours and wasn't too bad. Welcome Ayva!

Henri, just wait untill she asks you to pull her finger before she farts...you think you're proud now, just wait!

Congrats again you guys....bring on the pictures!

YAAAAAAAAAAAY! Welcome, Ayva!

Congrats Mom & Dad. Now, go get some sleep if you can.

CONGRATULATIONS! And, welcome Ayva (pretty name) So glad to hear the details and that after all that waiting, the labour was pretty short. (Love to Cara too!)

Congratulations! Can't wait to see the pictures. Henri, can't say I'm impressed with your abilities to breed but I am impressed with Cara's abilities. Way to go Cara! Ayva is a beautiful name but knowing Henri, Cara I need you to confirm her name.

You had to stick Zonk in there somewhere didn't you! You are so funny! I'm sure it'll be daddy's special nick name for Ayva. We too love throwing "y" into a name... really pritty!
Way to go Cara! very Excited to see pics of your little princess!

that is SO exciting...we are so very happy for you and can't wait to see pics!

Henri, you have now joined the ranks of Kevin Federline in your ability to breed. Congratulations. You should be so very proud.

Cara, good luck being the only sane parent in the home. I'll send chocolates any time you feel you need them.

Ayva, we're all so glad you're here. I hope someday I get to meet you.

Congratulations! This next phase of life is so much fun. You'll learn so much about yourselves as well as the new little person you've created. Be warned, girls are emotional even as infants but they smile the best.

Get the doohicky out and post some pictures soon!

Congrats you two! Whew... the waiting is over, but the drama of each post had me on the edge of my seat! I can't wait to see the pictures.

I was SO happy to wake up to ur message this morning Henri! Kisses to you all and very happy to hear mama and baby are both doing well :)

Welcome Ayva. From what I am told you are the prettiest little girl around. Can't wait to meet you. You're also super blessed with two really cool parents.

Cara, I can't wait to hear from you. I hope you are recovering well.

Henri, your breeding skills are fabulous but you made us wait too long. :-)

CONGRATULATIONS!! HAPPY DIAPER DAYS!

Look forward too seeing those good looks :)

HUGS!

Cara, BRAVO! Quasi-natural birth? OUCH!

Henri, you are exceedingly lucky to have a pearl like Cara that even let you breed. She did all the work. Can I say OUCH! again? OUCH!

Congratulations and bienvenue au monde petite Ayva! Quel joli prénom. Méfie-toi de ton papa, ma chère, même si je crois qu'il ait un coeur en or...

Congratulations Henri and Cara!!! What a pretty name, Ayva.

I think I checked your blog 10 times yesterday waiting for the great news, now, I'll be back checking for the photos!

Congratulations!!! She has such a pretty name and I'm excited to see pictures of her. Way to go on the four hour labour, that's amazing!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! We are so very happy for you both and can't wait to see a photo of your new little baby girl. She sounds gorgeous! Lil & Bob.

You definitely sound like a proud papa!

Congrats to you and your wife!

Congrats to Henri and Cara! Will her first words are "Gimmie a buck!" or will it be "Me donner un franc!"???

I'm so HAPPY for you both!!! Henri you truly are an amazing stud muffin... to think that you can procreate is an unbelievable thought :-) And to Cara, you have done a wonderful job and in only 4 hours, the Lord has shown you favour! I can hardly wait to see pics of the little angel, please tell Henri not to register "ZONK" on the birth certificate, it will 'haunt' her all her life. Again, congratulations to both of you... you are BLESSED!

Nice job...disappointing not to see Zonk on the birth certificate. I thought it was a sure thing. Way to think about the needs of the kid first...only 20 more years of that!

Congratulations you three! What an exciting time for you! Good thing you had that last pizza dinner with just the two of you because the next years are going to be a whirlwind!
